On 22 December 2014, Andika and Ewik continued to present the making decision strategies, they are : problem predicting, role play, send a problem, and snap decision.
As usual, we were pray together before we start the presentation .
First strategy is problem predicting.
In problem predicting, Ewik as the first speaker asked us in the class to be students in Senior High School in Second grade. Then, Ewik gave the students one case and showed that case in front of the class by LCD. The topic about the case is an abortion. Ewik asked us to discuss the topic in a group which was consist of three students. We need to find the impacts about an abortion. My group found five impacts about an abortion. The impacts could be in economic side, physics side, healthy , religion, and environment or discrimination. After all of the groups were finished to discuss the impact, so we should shared the result to the other friends and gave the reasons.
Second strategy is role play.
As the presenter said that role play is any speaking activity. So, Ewik asked us to do such kind of scenario activity. She asked us to be students in Senior High School in first grade. She gave us the scenario and invited us to practice that scenario. Ewik need three students , and each student play a role as Mr. Markland, Mrs. Markland, and nurse. Then, she point three of the students, they are Satria Wardiman as Mr.Markland, Dhiras Pasyati as Mrs.Markland , and Nila Septikasari as a nurse. Then they did the role play, while the other member of the class play a role as supporting actor. The role play run so noisy :D because all students less serious to do the role play, but overall we can do it well :)
The third strategy is send a problem.
This strategy was presented by Andika. Andika asked us to be students in Senior High School in second grade. He divided us into several groups. I think it was same with the first group. Then, Andika gave every group an envelope, and gave us topic about internet. He asked us to write down what we want to ask about internet to other groups. Then, the envelope is given to the next group, the group that got the envelope have to answer the questions on the paper, but the other groups not allowed to see the answer before, then the answer can be put inside the envelope. It will be continued after the envelope back to the first group that made the question.
After the envelope back to the question's maker, one member of the group would combine or conclude the answer and presented in front of the class.
The last strategy is snap decision.
In snap decision, Andika asked us to be students in Senior High School in second grade. He need three volunteer to do this strategy in front of the class. The volunteer were Dede, Edi, and Satria. Then, Dewa gave one topic. Satria and Dede have to discuss or share or argue their opinion about the topic, whether they were agree or disagree. Then, Edi's n job was to choose or to conclude what decision that he can be taken about two opinion before from Satria and Dede. But, Edi must gave the decision as quick as possible, because that was the soul of snap decision. After finished to do the presentation, then Mr.Agus gave them some clarifications.
Fisrt, Ewik have to check her grammar before implemented it to the students.
Second, Andika used left hand to give something to the students.
Then, my opinion about their presentation was good enough, they can make the conducive situation, but I agree with Mr.Agus, Ewik less to check her grammar.
Overall, I enjoyed to follow their presentation.

The material from Satria Wardiman and Nila Septikasari
On 1 December 2014, this turn actually for my group. If the previous presentation did only by one people, start from Satria began to do the presentation by group. So, Satria and I became one group. I as the first speaker and Satria as second speaker. The material from us was making decision strategies. Making decision strategies is a strategies that provide the opportunity for
students to develop, practice and demonstrate. There are nine strategies in making decisions, but Satria and I only focused on four. The first strategy was decision-making model. Decision making model strategy can help students to :
•Consider
their own beliefs about their ability to view situations and events and solve
problems.
•Explore
a series of steps in making decisions in relation to positive healthy behaviors.
•Share
reasons for making a decision with others.
In this strategy I asked my friends to be students in Senior High School in second grade. Then, I gave my students a topic, and I gave them one resource sheets. The topic that I gave was rubbish. In that resource sheets, there are boxes. In every box, I let my students to write down their ideas about the topic based on the instructions in every box. I let them worked in group. One group consist of four to five students. After they were finished to fill each box, I invited them to present their result in front of the class.
The second strategy from my group was fortune teller. This strategy will help students to Predict potential problems and risks and select strategies to avoid or reduce the risk in a related situation.

In this strategy, I asked my friends to be students again in Senior High School in second grade. Then, I gave them one topic about young driver and asked the students to make a group that one group consist of four students. After they found their group, then I gave card categories in every group. One group will have four card categories. The card categories are young card, rule card, environment card, and reasons card. In young card, I asked them to identify what is young, the age of young, and so on that related to young categories. In rule card, I asked them to write what rules that the drivers must have, in environment card, I asked the students to write down where the young driver usually drive their car, in what time, etc, and in reasons card, they can write the reasons why someone decided to be a young driver. Then, after they finished to fill every card categories that every member of the group will have a job to fill one card category, I invited them to share their ideas in front of the class and try to give some risk about the topic to others.
The third strategy that was presented by Satria was helpful and positive thinking. In this strategy Satria asked our friends to be students in Senior High School in third grade and gave them a topic. The topic was about drive while drinking alcohol. Then Satria asked the students to write their opinion about the topic in a sheet of paper. First, in the I fell, the students should write what they think about the topic and when they beside the driver. Second,in the I think the students may write what they think if they are in that situation. Maybe they will stop to drive or to drink, etc. The last, in the I can, they can write what can they do if they found their friend like that. This work was done by individual. After all of the students finished to write their ideas about the topic, Satria invited them to three of them to share their result .
The last strategy from us was Hypothetical strategy. In this strategy, Satria asked the friends to be students in Senior High School in third grade. Then, Satria divided the class into two side. The first side was pro side and the second part was contra side. Satria gave them one topic : junk food. Satria let the two said to argue their reasons based on their side. At that time, the teacher's job only to control them, not to be pro said or contra said. After a while, then the teacher stoped the debate and gave some conclusion about the topic.
After we were finished to do the presentation, then Mr.Agus gave us some comment and clarification. First, he said that I little bit nervous, because there was mistake. The mistake was ' all of you are finish'? It must be ' do all of you finished'? . But he said overall our presentation was good, and easy to understand. Well preparation.
My comment about our own presentation, I think our presentation was good, even though still have some mistakes, but it is no problem. The weakness was I think I less to make the class more fun.

Next Material from Ayu Sriasih
On 24 November 2014, Ayu Sriasih continued her presentation about developing values strategies. But as usual, before the presentation start, we were praying together in the class. The third strategy was values continuum. In values continuum, Ayu told us that this strategy will help students to identify and clarify attitudes about issues and consider others’ thoughts and attitude. In this strategy, Ayu asked us to be students in Senior High School first grade, and gave us topic about organizing party while your parents spending their holiday. So, if we agree about that , we can choose yes and stay together with everyone who also choose yes. But if we disagree about that we can choose no and stay together with everyone who choose no. Then, yes and no choices stay in two different places and did such kind of debate. Every one can share their reasons about their choices. The situation in the class also very noisy but it was really fun for us.

Mid Term Test ( Material from Ayu Sriasih)
On 17 November 2014 was a mid term test. Previously, Mr. Agus told us that every middle term test, he won't gave us such kind of test, he just asked us to gave some comment about him during he teach until mid semester. So, we gave our comment to Mr.Agus at that time without put our name in the paper. Wrote the comment took time about 20 minutes. After we finished to write our comment, the presentation was continued by Ayu Sriasih. The material from Ayu Sriasih was about developing values strategies. There are four strategy in making values : choose a corner, my attitudes my actions, values continuum, and values voting.
In choose a corner, Ayu told us that this strategy will help students to identify and clarify attitudes using hypothetical issues, consider information and other ideas and views, and share reasons for making a decision with other. In choose a corner, in demonstration session, Ayu asked us to be students in Senior High School first grade. She gave us two topic , about how we spent the weekend and in a birthday party someone who is our friend invited us to drink alcohol. So, Ayu asked us as students to choose the corner where in every corner there were a choice. Then, Ayu asked one by one of us to explain why we choose that corner. The situation in the class in this strategy was very noisy, because every one can share their reasons.
In my attitudes my action, Ayu told us that this strategy will help students to understand the factors that influence attitudes and identify influences that affect health and safety behavior in a range of situations. In this strategy, Ayu asked us to be students in Senior High School second grade. She gave us a topic : speeding. Ayu gave us a resource sheet. Material from Novi
On 11 November 2014, the presentation was from Novi Purnamasari. She continued three strategies left. the strategies are 90 degree, T and Y chart, and written responses.
In 90 degree strategy, Novi explained that 90 degree can help students to graphically organize and record
ideas and information that may be seemingly unrelated and also apply these ideas and information
to their own lives.
After finished to explain 90 degree strategy, next Novi did the demonstration, and she asked us to be students in Senior High School third grade. She gave us the topic 'smoking'. In 90 degree, she said that we can use box with one diagonal straight line. At the top, we can put fact and ideas about the topic, and at the bottom we can put the implication of the fact on your own life. We discuss the topic in a group, after we finished to discuss and finished to fill two part of the box, then we presented the result in front of the class.
Next, Novi explained the next material about T and Y chart. T and Y chart will help students to graphically organize and record
ideas, feelings and information, identify and focus on what they
already know, understand, value and are able to do, compare and contrast ideas,
feelings and information. In this strategy, Novi asked us to be students and gave us a big Y picture in the white board. In that Y picture, at the top we can put looks like, at the right we can put feels like, and at the left we can put sounds like. Novi gave us topic 'perfect classroom', and asked us to fill every part of the Y picture. After we finished, as usual we presented the result infront of the class.
The last strategy is written responses. In written responses, Novi told us that this strategy will help students to Organize and record ideas, feelings
and information, and communicate
their knowledge and understandings, attitudes and values through a range of
genres.
In the demonstration, Novi asked us to be students in Senior High School third grade, and gave us one topic about 'home schooling is going mainstream'. After we finished to read that article, Novi asked us to give the opinion about the topic and presented the result infront of the class.
In the questions section, there were three questioner : Andika Pradnyana, Ayu Mirawati and Ayu Sriasih.
After finished to explain all of the strategy, then Mr. Agus gave Novi some clarification and suggestion, such as :
1. Are you finished? it must be Have you finished?
2. Give the students clarification if there was something wrong during they presented their result.
3. Try to invite the students to conclude the topic.
My comment from Novi is she looks little bit nervous during the presentation , and less to do some communication in the demonstration session.
The last, Mr. Agus gave us a picture, and asked us to explain that picture using our own words.

Presentation from Novi
On 27 October 2014, this turn actually for Arya Dwipayana to do the presentation. But he can not attend the class that day. So, the presentation replaced by Novi Purnamasari. But, Novi just ready for Mind Maps strategy. She did the presentation little nervous. Her voice was slowly that make me heard her voice unclear. She also less to prepare the topic in demonstration session. So, the presentation in that evening run quite and less conducive. After Novi finished to explain the mind maps strategy, time remaining and we did not know what to do. So, the lecturer and the students decided to do the discussion. After the time was up, the presentation from Novi will be continued next week
On 3 November 2014, I can not attend the class because there was a Balinese Ceremony called 'Metatah' in my village. Actually, Mr. Agus also can not to teach us that evening. So, the teaching and learning process will be held next week.

Material from Yudi and Ayu Mirawati
October 20th, 2014
In that evening, Yudi continued his material one week ago. The material was about jigsaw. The most strategy that I ever heard before. Before continued the presentation, as usual that day began with praying together in the class.
Then, Yudi shared us, that
Jigsaw is a strategy that helps students to:
- Critically analyze,
evaluate and apply ideas from a large amount of information.
- Participate and
cooperate in small groups.
- Accept responsibility
for their own learning.
Yudi also told us about 'Home Groups' and 'Expert Group'. I think home groups here means that the first group that every member of the group got one number. Then the home groups become expert groups, after the same number is met, and discuss the same material with the expert groups. After that , expert groups back to the home groups, and shared the material that already discussed with the expert groups before. The material that Yudi ( as a teacher ) gave to us ( as the students ) was about disaster.
Second presenter in that evening was Ayu Mirawati. Actually, that was the chance for Arya Dwipayana to do the presentation, but he did not come at that time. Ayu Mirawati still in Tuning In Strategies, and the categories are streamline, survey, and viewing.
1. Streamline.
Stream line is a strategy that will help students to locate current and relevant information on health and
safety issues.
Here, Ayu Mirawati as a teacher gave us ( as the students ) the issue about water. Ayu Mirawati did such kind of brainstorm. Ayu asked the students to read the text and asked some questions to the students after finished to read.
2. Surveys.
This strategy will help students to develop open-ended questions for a specific target group
and analyze survey responses.
present information in a range of formats. Ayu told us about how to make a diagram based on the survey.
In surveys strategy, Ayu as a teacher asked the students to ask all of the students in the classroom, what they like to do. Based on the survey, Ayu then asked the students to write that survey on the diagram or something like that.
3. Viewing.
Ayu shared us that viewing strategy will help student to gather information and obtain different perspectives
on an issue by viewing and analyzing a range of film, television or print
materials.
After finished to share the material, Ayu open the questions session. The questions was come from Yuni and Diah.
I as my self also want to ask Ayu about the surveys. I think, the demonstrated are slightly deviate. Because, Ayu only asked the students to write a diagram or something like that. It was same like she ignored the four skills, like reading, listening, writing, and speaking. It more focused about how to draw something in the English lesson.

Hallo every blogger.. long time no see you,, how are you all? I hope you are in good condition. Here, I also in good condition :). So, in this morning, I will share the diary of the presentation in my classroom.
On the date of October 13th , 2014 the presentation was begin from Edi Sudianta. Edi continued his material one week ago about Tunning In strategies. Before continued the presentation, we have prayed together. Then, Edi presented the material about One Minute Challenge. Edi shared us that one minute challenge
is one of learning
strategy that used by a teacher to know what students need by give them a
challenge to write down what they want to know in one minute. Then Edi
presented the material about Question Partners. Edi told, question partners is
one of teaching and learning strategy for teacher to know the ability of
students by identify question with their partner. Edi gave us questions and the
answer in different papers. Last strategy that Edi presented is about Quiz.
Quiz is one of teaching and learning strategy that improve the ability of
student by make a set of quiz question and the answer. Edi gave us ( as the
students ) an article and the students in group would ask some questions to the
other groups , and the other groups would answer the question.
Next presentation
will be continued by Yudi in different categories of tuning in strategies. The
categories are Brainstorm, Circle Talk, Head Talk, and Jigsaw.
Yudi said that

Brainstorm is a strategy that helps students to:•Recall existing knowledge and organize ideas•Consider others’ views and ideas•Develop creative thinking processes and problem solving skills.In brainstorm strategy, Yudi gave us (as students) a procedure test, and Yudi did brainstorm in the classroom. Yudi asked the students, what the students knew about procedure test. After did brainstorm, then Yudi as a teacher discuss with the students what's the explanation of procedure test.
2. Circle Talk.
Circle talk is a strategy that helps students to share ideas and opinions and develop respect for others’ opinions. In circle talk, Yudi look confused what should he did in that time. Mr. Agus then told, that circle talk can be implemented by made two circles in the front of the class. One inside circle, and the other one was outside. So, the students will face to face in pair to share what they knew about the issue that given by Yudi as a teacher. Yudi gave us ( as the students ) the issue about gadget for young learness. So, the students started to share their opinion about that issues , and moved to the other student in that circle after 3 minutes. After that, the teacher gave a conclusion about the issue. That's called a circle talk strategy.3. Head Talk.Yudi told that head talk can help the students to:

Accept responsibility for own learningAfter finished their presentation, both Edi and yudi opened questions session from the audience. The questions was come from Yuni. The question from Yuni was for Edi, Dea's question was for Yudi, and the last Desy's question was for Yudi. After finished to answer all of the questions, Mr. Agus gave some clarifications and comments about the presentation. The first clarification for Edi was never refer the students by left hand. It was not our culture, always check the student's grammar during learning process, and give them the correct grammar. The comment for Yudi was Yudi still less of preparation.
In my opinion, they did the presentation well, they used their own word, so I can understand well. But Edi still nervous enough during he explain the material, and Yudi still less preparation.

Material from Desy and Edi
October 6th, 2014
This meeting was begin with prayed and continued the presentation of Desy that delayed last week. In this section Desy told us about card cluster and graffiti.
First, Desy told us, card cluster is a strategy that make students more active and more critics by giving statement or issue in a card. After told us what is card cluster and how does card cluster implemented, Desy asked us to be students in Senior High School and divided us into several groups. One group consist of four till five person. One group will get one topic which was different with others group. After got the topic, every member of the groups will give statements about the topic, and the same statements will be collected into one. Then, every group will present the conclusion of the topic in front of the class.
Second, Desy told us about graffiti. Graffiti is an excellent strategy to enhance students’ thinking skills and promote their writing skills and that is a great way to stimulate students’ participation in the classroom. After told us about what is graffiti, how it is implemented, and what is the advantages of this strategy, Desy asked us again to be students in Senior High School. After that, Desy divided us into several groups which was contain four till five person. One group will get one topic, and Dessy asked us to develop the topic in our creativity. She gave us at least two minutes to develop the topic before the paper will be exchanged into the other groups. It will be carried out continuously until the paper back into the first owner. After finished, Desy choose one group to share the conclusion in front of the class.
There were two questions. First question was from Nila, and second question was from Dhiras. Desy could answer both of the questions well, and all of the audience can accept her answer.
The next presenter was Edi. Edi also told us about Tuning In Strategies, but Edi focus on KWL, One Minute Challenge, Question Partner, and Quiz.
1. KWL ( Know, Want to Know, Learnt )
Edi told us that, in 'Know' the teacher will give one topic, and the teacher asked the students what we know about the topic. In 'Know', we just shared whatever we know about the topic. In 'Want to Know', the teacher asked the students what we want to know about the topic, and in ''Learnt', students have to discuss the topic with the teacher, so in 'Learnt' we already know about the topic. After Edi told us about KWL, Edi asked us to be students, perhaps in Senior High School. Edi gave us the topic about 'Kertagosa'. Edi wrote one table in the white board.

So now, we as the students already know about the 'Kertagosa'. Then, Edi choose one students to share about Kertagosa after using the KWL strategy.
Because the time was up, so the presentation will be continued next week. Before ended the class, Mr. Agus would give some suggestions or clarify to the presenter about their presentation.
Fisrt was for Desi. Here, the students still can control the teacher. I thing overall Desi did the presentation well, she already moved around to check the students attention. But in 'Graffiti, Desy gave the students more than one topic. Actually, Desi must give only one topic in the class. It will be easier for students and teachers to make a conclusion about the topic.
Second suggestions was for Edi. Edi look confused to explain the material. I think Edi still not well planning. He must read and understand well before he present the material in the class.

This meeting was begin with prayed and continued the presentation of Desy that delayed last week. In this section Desy told us about card cluster and graffiti.
First, Desy told us, card cluster is a strategy that make students more active and more critics by giving statement or issue in a card. After told us what is card cluster and how does card cluster implemented, Desy asked us to be students in Senior High School and divided us into several groups. One group consist of four till five person. One group will get one topic which was different with others group. After got the topic, every member of the groups will give statements about the topic, and the same statements will be collected into one. Then, every group will present the conclusion of the topic in front of the class.
Second, Desy told us about graffiti. Graffiti is an excellent strategy to enhance students’ thinking skills and promote their writing skills and that is a great way to stimulate students’ participation in the classroom. After told us about what is graffiti, how it is implemented, and what is the advantages of this strategy, Desy asked us again to be students in Senior High School. After that, Desy divided us into several groups which was contain four till five person. One group will get one topic, and Dessy asked us to develop the topic in our creativity. She gave us at least two minutes to develop the topic before the paper will be exchanged into the other groups. It will be carried out continuously until the paper back into the first owner. After finished, Desy choose one group to share the conclusion in front of the class.
There were two questions. First question was from Nila, and second question was from Dhiras. Desy could answer both of the questions well, and all of the audience can accept her answer.
The next presenter was Edi. Edi also told us about Tuning In Strategies, but Edi focus on KWL, One Minute Challenge, Question Partner, and Quiz.
1. KWL ( Know, Want to Know, Learnt )
Edi told us that, in 'Know' the teacher will give one topic, and the teacher asked the students what we know about the topic. In 'Know', we just shared whatever we know about the topic. In 'Want to Know', the teacher asked the students what we want to know about the topic, and in ''Learnt', students have to discuss the topic with the teacher, so in 'Learnt' we already know about the topic. After Edi told us about KWL, Edi asked us to be students, perhaps in Senior High School. Edi gave us the topic about 'Kertagosa'. Edi wrote one table in the white board.
Edi asked the students to fill the table bellow.

So now, we as the students already know about the 'Kertagosa'. Then, Edi choose one students to share about Kertagosa after using the KWL strategy.
Because the time was up, so the presentation will be continued next week. Before ended the class, Mr. Agus would give some suggestions or clarify to the presenter about their presentation.
